We are seeking an experienced operations professional to partner closely with the Principal in leading the day-to-day operations of our nationally recognized luxury residential interior design firm. This individual will oversee the business functions that support the creative process, ensuring projects, teams, and operations run efficiently while maintaining an exceptional level of service.
The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This role serves as the operational backbone of the firm, allowing the Principal and design team to remain focused on design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operations of the studio, ensuring efficient workflows and seamless communication across all departments.
• Partner with the Principal to implement business strategies, operational initiatives, and firm-wide priorities.
• Lead project operations, including scheduling, resource planning, and workflow management to support successful project delivery.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
• Oversee administrative functions including policies, procedures, technology, and vendor relationships.
• Manage firm calendars, travel logistics, meetings, special events and key operational priorities for the Principal and design team.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and industry partners to ensure an exceptional client experience throughout each project.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement systems that support the firm's continued growth.
• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of experience in operations, business management, executive leadership, or studio management, preferably within the interior design, architecture, custom construction, or luxury residential industries.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational excellence.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing complex and changing schedules, multiple stakeholders, and fast-paced project environments.
• Highly proactive, resourceful, flexible, and solutions-oriented with excellent judgment and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic and resourceful approach to unexpected challenges.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising professionalism and discretion.
