The Shipping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York City. This role oversees daily shipping and receiving operations, including preparing shipments, arranging carriers, managing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of carpets and textiles. The Shipping Manager coordinates inventory movement, maintains accurate records, and works closely with the sales and warehouse teams to support order fulfillment. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising packing standards, monitoring storage conditions, organizing loading and unloading activities, and enforcing safety and handling procedures. The role also involves communicating with clients and logistics partners, resolving shipping issues, and continuously improving operational efficiency.

Strong experience in Shipping & Receiving and Shipping operations, including coordinating domestic and international shipments.
Proficiency in Inventory Management, with the ability to track, reconcile, and report stock levels accurately.
Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, provide shipment updates, and resolve delivery-related concerns professionally.
Hands-on experience with Forklift Operation and general warehouse equipment, following all safety guidelines.
Prior supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping environment.
Ability to lift and maneuver products safely and maintain organized, clean storage areas.
Attention to detail for labels, documentation, export/import requirements, and quality control checks.
Basic computer proficiency, including shipping software, inventory systems, and email communication.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external carriers.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus.
