Job Description

Boutique lighting design studio and manufacturer (Clinton Hill, Brooklyn) seeks a Shipping & Inventory Coordinator to assist with all aspects of shipping, inventory management, and procurement.
This position requires a detail-oriented candidate who is comfortable with both hands-on work and data entry. Successful applicants will be highly organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively within a team setting. To ensure the best fit for this role, the position will begin with a probationary period to evaluate job performance, reliability, and cultural fit within our team.

Job Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide shipping cost estimates for standard and custom fixtures
Ship and track client finish samples and custom project materials
Coordinate and track outbound order shipments and deliveries
Order and manage packing supplies, shipping containers, and other materials
Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other supporting documents
Check part stock levels regularly and place orders with vendors to maintain supply
Maintain and develop internal packing and shipping procedures
Track, facilitate, and receive inbound inventory shipments
Pack and Box parts to ship to finishing vendors
Receive and Quality Control incoming finished parts
Wrap completed fixtures and pack into cartons using internal procedures

Qualifications:

Minimum high school degree or equivalent; minimum 21 years of age.
Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds as part of weekly activities.
Relevant shipping or inventory experience is required; 2+ years of experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Proficiency with basic office software and shipping platforms (ie UPS, FedEx)

Compensation & Benefits:
Probation term: 4-6 months as a contractor with potential for full-time employment. We intend to make a full-time offer after the probationary period if the candidate proves to be a good fit
Contractor pay range: $30 - $38 per hour during probationary period (based on experience)
Full-time salary range (post-probation): $50,000 - $60,000 annually, with benefits including PTO, health insurance, and 401(k)

Hours:
Office hours are 10am to 6pm, Monday through Thursday, 10am to 5pm, Fridays
Office is located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, near the Navy Yard
