Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer passionate about luxury residential design. This role works closely with our Lead Designers & Founder to bring project visions to life. You’ll be involved in every phase—from concept to installation—making a meaningful impact on each project. If you love creating custom interiors that blend beauty, comfort, and functionality, you’ll collaborate with a passionate team, top-tier vendors, and work on exclusive New York City properties

What You’ll Do:
- Design Execution: Collaborate with the Lead Designer to execute project vision through presentation development, custom furniture designs, millwork details, and construction documents.
- Project Documentation: Lead drawing and project documentation process from field measurements through final construction documents.
- Conceptual Design: Create 2D & 3D concept studies/sketches and develop comprehensive construction sets.
- Sourcing: Research and source furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpapers, and finishes—within aesthetic and budget goals.
- Project Installation: Plan & oversee installs, receiving & inspecting deliveries, punch lists, finalizing details, and documenting finished projects for internal records.
- Installation visits: Responsible for attending frequent site visits to oversee construction progress and coordinate with contractors, architects and trades.
- Technical Drawings: Develop 2D construction drawings, furniture plans, custom furniture drawings, millwork, interior architectural details, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and power plans.
- Vendor Coordination:Work with vendors to obtain technical information, quotes, and estimates, and oversee fabrication to ensure accuracy.
- FF&E Management: Manage vendor relationships, FF&E documents, review controls, CFAs, and DFAs with the Project Lead, to ensure all fabrication is precise.
- Project Management: Balance priorities across multiple projects, meet deadlines and proactively resolve issues.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design with 7+ years of professional experience in luxury residential or hospitality interior design.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Google Office Suite. Experience with 3D rendering programs is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling project documentation and specifications.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- A proven self-starter who can work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of projects from inception to completion.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects/furniture weighing over 40 lbs.
