Job Description

Bryan O’Sullivan Studio is looking to hire an interior designer with 4 to 7 years of experience in high-end luxury hospitality
interior design, for the position of Intermediate Interior Designer in their office in New York City. We are seeking experienced
and motivated designers with the drive and skills to fill a hands-on design role in their growing office in NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works with the Project Manager and/or Senior Designer to develop the design of a project, from the conceptual
stages through the detailing phase, from the overall scheme of the project down to the details.
• Produces design documents, from Concept through Installation phases, with the rest of the design team, under the
guidance of the Project Manager and/or Senior Designer.
• Has established knowledge of, and relationships with, vendors/suppliers and their products that contribute to the
Intermediate Designer's development of the design.
• Research information about pricing, sourcing, and lead times.
• Liaises with project consultants during design and construction.
• Pro-active, diligent and consistent completion of tasks and milestones assigned to maintain the project timeline and
ensure continuation of the studio's design.
• Maintains constant communication with the Senior Designer to ensure that the design is conceived and developed
according to the creative vision of the Principal and the Studio.
• Ensures that design proposals and documents issued to Clients, Fabricators, and Builders accurately describe the
extent of the design scope, in terms of pricing, lead times, and specifications

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
• 4 to 7 years of experience in high-end hospitality interior design.
• Experience in producing mood boards and material palettes.
• Knowledge of construction methods and experience in producing comprehensive technical documentation sets
• Experience in designing and detailing millwork.
• Experience in producing specification schedules
• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Legal and physical residency in New York City or its vicinity.
• Established legal permission to work in the US.
• Willingness to work at their office in Manhattan full time.
• Full proficiency required in the following skills: SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, MS Office Suite, and Oral and
written communication in English.
• Moderate proficiency preferred in Enscape, Bluebeam, and Revit
