Job Description

Angela Brown Ltd, a respected industry veteran in representing the very best in luxury textiles, wallcoverings, furniture and rugs, is looking for a highly motivated Senior Sales Associate to join our NYC team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a strong interest in learning and mastering the art of sales. They will work alongside the inside sales team to develop strategies within the ABL culture, as well as working closely with interior designers on their projects, finding opportunities with the products we represent. They will be a "big-picture" thinker with a positive attitude, approaching every day with a proactive mindset and a desire to take ownership of ABL's success.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and nurture long standing relationships with new and existing clients by providing personalized consultation services on material selections

- Build a comprehensive understanding of our collections, materials and custom capabilities, staying updated on the latest industry trends

- Meet and exceed individual yearly sales targets while contributing to the overall revenue goals of the company

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and sales activities using the company’s CRM software, creating monthly sales / activity reports to help guide the team in growth projections

- Bond and work as a team with sales administration (customer service, project management and expeditor). Ensure that projects are not only opened during sales calls, but that proper follow up takes place. Working closely and as a team with customer service is key to ensure that the opening sales efforts turn into orders

- Attend local industry events and manufacturer sales meetings, if/when requested

Job Requirements

- NYC and Boroughs based

- 5-10 years experience in outside sales, preferably in luxury goods within the Interior Design industry

- Strong understanding of the interior design industry, including key players, trends, and project requirements

- Exceptional interpersonal skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong project management and problem solving skills

- Self motivated with a positive, professional attitude

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Proficiency in Apple systems and MS Office

- A genuine passion for luxury design

- Willingness to travel (when required) and work late to get the job done

- Strong network of contacts within the design industry is a plus
