We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5-7 years of experience in high-end residential design and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a key leadership role where you, along with the Principal, will lead design initiatives, manage project teams, and work directly with clients and vendors, to deliver exceptional, luxurious interior spaces.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be integral to translating our clients' visions into reality, from concept development to the final installation. You will manage multiple projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Your experience in managing teams, developing detailed design documentation, and collaborating with various vendors will make you a key asset to our team.
• Develop with Principal, initial design concepts, mood boards, color schemes, space planning, and detailed design presentations.
• Oversee the creation of detailed floor plans and elevations by our draftsperson in AutoCAD. Ensure design intent is met in final designs.
• Present design concepts and project updates to clients, addressing their feedback, and ensuring that design solutions align with their vision and budget. Build strong, long-term client relationships.
• Work closely with project teams, including architects, contractors, and vendors, to coordinate design elements and resolve any project challenges.
• Ensure projects move forward smoothly, managing timelines, budgets, and resources. Conduct regular site visits to ensure that work aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for contractors and vendors.
• Source and select materials, finishes, furniture, and furnishings that meet the design vision
• Monitor projects during construction to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience in high-end residential interior design.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
o Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Experience with Studio Designer or similar project management tools is a plus.
o Strong knowledge of construction documents and ability to review shop drawings
• Extensive knowledge of interior design principles and practices, including FF&E, furniture systems, and specifications. A keen eye for luxury design details, materials, and finishes.
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills. The ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Strong decision-making skills to address project challenges.
• Ability to make sound decisions in the design process, with advanced critical thinking skills to evaluate design alternatives and solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive client relationships, with a focus on exceeding expectations while maintaining client privacy.
