We're looking for a senior-level interior designer who combines strong design ability with exceptional project management skills. This role is responsible for leading high-end residential projects from programming and concept through construction and installation while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and the internal design team.
Unlike a traditional Senior Designer, this position has a significant project leadership component. The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable developing a design concept, presenting to clients, coordinating with architects and general contractors, managing project
schedules, overseeing procurement, and navigating the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead multiple luxury residential projects from concept through installation.
● Serve as the primary client contact throughout the life of the project.
● Develop and present design concepts, material palettes, furniture plans, and finish selections.
● Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
● Manage project schedules, milestones, and weekly project reporting.
● Oversee procurement, expediting, receiving, and installation coordination.
● Understand residential construction, permitting, and Planning/Building Department processes.
● Conduct site visits and support construction administration, including reviewing field conditions, shop drawings, and project coordination.
● Mentor junior designers and collaborate closely with the Principals to ensure projects are delivered at a high level.
