Aero is seeking an individual who is creative, warm, polished, and motivated by sales and relationship-building to work with trade and retail clients in our exclusive showroom in the NY Design Center.

Responsibilities include assisting clients in the showroom, over the phone, and over email with furniture, lighting, bedding, custom rugs, and decorative accessories. Have a basic understanding of home design including furniture plans, installed and decorative lighting schemes, general layout, and construction terms. Please have excellent communication skills. Be persuasive and confident, proactive not just responsive, comfortable handling multiple clients and projects at once. Please have clear writing skills and be detail-oriented, collaborative, and have a knack for anticipating needs and the resolve for follow-though, a desire to keep ahead of client requests. Be comfortable and familiar with how interior designers work, understand time constraints, and respectful of designers’ time and their close working relationships with their clients.

Additionally, be prepared to help maintain the showroom between appointments to ensure our standards. Be prepared to physically wrap & ready packages for messenger pickup.

A design or interior design background is desirable but not mandatory: Aero enjoys welcoming people from other professions, from creative roles to eager individuals with good administrative and communicative skills, with the intuitive feel for interior design with a service-minded attitude.
