DeMuro Das is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our U.S. Sales & Marketing team. We are a maker of high-end, luxury furniture with offices in New York and New Delhi, serving the design community. In this role, you'll be part of a small, collaborative team where you'll experience every aspect of the business—from sales and marketing to client services and operations. The right candidate will demonstrate resourcefulness, proactivity, organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and professionalism. We are looking for someone with the motivation and talent to grow with us as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate quotes/invoices and process sales while maintaining follow-up on potential orders.
• Track and manage client orders from initial inquiry to delivery and beyond.
• Support the Director with business development efforts, including scheduling client visits inside and outside of NYC.
• Present the company’s products and capabilities to clients in the showroom, via email, phone, and in person.
• Work closely with showroom partners and the New Delhi-based production team to fulfill client orders.
• Manage fabric deliveries and sample requests.
• Maintain and use company systems, including the website, CRM, and quoting software.
• Assist in executing showroom events, trade shows, and exhibitions and maintaining an organized and attractive showroom.
• Contribute to the development of marketing materials, both written and visual.
Desired Experience and Skills:
• 2+ years of client-facing or sales experience in a furniture showroom, interior design firm, or related field.
• Positive attitude, with high energy and motivation and a commercial mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric attitude.
• Polished, professional demeanor across all communication platforms.
• Self-starter with the ability to problem-solve independently and foresee potential challenges.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Collaborative and flexible team player, willing to jump in and do what's necessary to achieve team goals.
• Interest in interior design and/or furniture design.
• Efficient user of technology; knowledge of Adobe, InDesign, and CAD a plus.
