Position Overview
Lawson-Fenning is seeking a polished, detail-oriented professional Sales Assistant to support
an elevated client experience while serving as a vital partner to the sales team. This role is
responsible for thoughtfully welcoming clients to the showroom, managing trade account
onboarding and stewardship, and maintaining impeccable records across internal systems.
Responsibilities
● Warmly greet and classify all clients, noting assigned sales representatives, client type
(trade or DTC), and water preference (still or sparkling).
● Manage the general sales line, including answering incoming calls and
monitoring/responding to voicemail inquiries.
● Receive, review, and onboard new trade account applications while maintaining
accurate trade account records in QuickBooks and Cin7, including billing and shipping
addresses, resale certificates, email addresses, and phone numbers.
● Oversee all incoming leads and inquiries, routing them to the appropriate sales
representative.
● Co-manage the sales inbox, routing inquiries to sales representatives and responding to
general requests such as:
○ CB2 Inquiries
○ Warranty and care information
○ Flame certifications
○ Paid invoice records
● Perform weekly hold, memo, and rental updates in Cin7 and QuickBooks, consulting
with Sales Representatives as needed.
● Update and verify pricing accuracy across internal pricing tools, including 1stDibs and
The Expert.
● Greet delivery personnel and manage all showroom pickups, memos, and rentals.
● Update Airtable to reflect sold inventory once items are collected from the showroom.
● Provide backup support for pulling and wrapping product purchases, memos, and
rentals.
● Provide backup support for processing sales team swatch requests.
● Locate, verify, and document the condition of in-stock Los Angeles showroom inventory
upon request from the sales team.
● Oversee the annual client gift list in coordination with the sales team, ensuring all contact
information and shipping
Required Skills & Experience
● 2+ years of experience in a client-facing customer service role, preferably within luxury
retail, high-end showrooms, interior design, or hospitality environments.
● Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and
administrative details simultaneously.
● High level of professionalism and client service skills, with the ability to warmly engage
both Trade and DTC clientele.
● Comfortable working across multiple systems (QuickBooks, Cin7, Airtable, email
platforms).
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with
discerning clientele.
● Team-oriented, client-service-driven mindset.
● Passion for design and understanding of the trade/design community preferred.
● Proficient in Google Workspace.
