Job Description

This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys being the calm, capable force behind beautifully executed projects. As Procurement Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in turning design intent into reality. You’ll be trusted to manage the moving parts between specification and installation, ensuring all pieces arrive as expected, on time, and through follow-up and installation. Your work directly supports the quality, confidence, and consistency our clients expect from us.

This is a full-time position designed for someone who values flexibility but still wants to be deeply connected to the work. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, vendors, and partners, with the autonomy to run your lane and the support of a team that values clarity, accountability, and doing things properly the first time.

If you take pride in organization, communication, and follow-through, and you like knowing that your behind-the-scenes work makes everything else possible, this role will feel both satisfying and meaningful.

You will be responsible for managing purchasing across projects, from initial quotes through delivery and installation support. You’ll own the procurement workflow using Studio Designer, preparing purchase orders, tracking proposals and invoices, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. You’ll communicate regularly with vendors, workrooms, freight carriers, and installers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules, and proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the project.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously. You’ll provide clear status updates to the design team, flag delays or discrepancies early, and help keep projects moving smoothly through every phase.

About our Company

At Yates Desygn, we craft unique and livable environments by capturing your design language through bespoke interior architecture and design.
A testament to the notion that “there are no coincidences in life,” an impromptu encounter in New York City laid the groundwork for what would become one of Dallas’ most sought-after design firms. Introduced through mutual friends at a Manhattan party in 2011, Mike and Bryan Yates set out on a journey that would see them become partners in life as well as in Yates Desygn, weaving a passion for style, design, and fun throughout both ventures.

Brought together by their shared passion for style and design, Mike and Bryan Yates married their talents and personal visions and created a firm that captures the style and distinctive personalities of the people who inhabit the spaces they bring to life. In doing so, the duo places a premium on the relationships between their team members, partners, and clients, which are so integral to the success of each project.

In addition to the firm’s impressive portfolio of client work, the duo participated in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas in 2021, launched its first wall-covering collection, “Ever x Yates,” in 2023, and continues to be featured in national and regional media.
