Job Description

We are looking for a full time remote project manager, ideally based in the New York City area, who is comfortable with all phases of the design process from schematic design to installation or a full-time design assistant to assist the designer throughout all stages of the design process, including but not limited to:
- Creating and amending purchase orders
- Produce or supervise the production of schematic, floor plan, elevation, interior architectural details and furniture drawings using AutoCAD – familiarity with interior construction drawing and details is key
- Coordinating & attending client meetings
- Managing client communication, relationships, presentations & proposals
- Processing and tracking of custom furniture and material orders
- Coordinate with architects, contractors & subcontractors to define and maintain optimal project schedule
-Researching & sourcing furniture, fabrics, accessories, finishes, lighting, plumbing, hardware etc.
- Tracking orders through to installation
- Managing project schedules and budgets
- Following up with vendors to ensure timely receipt of requested information
- Managing and supporting the day-to-day communications with vendors and subcontractors
- Assisting with reconciling accounts, invoicing, and tracking expenses
- Coordinating deliveries and collections of products and samples
- Maintaining accurate records of items in inventory/storage
- Plan and be present at installations

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have/be:

- Minimum 3 years experience managing projects at a high-end residential design firm
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with interior construction details
- Proficiency in Studio Designer, Excel
- Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus
- Enter specifications and create client proposals through Studio, for client’s review/approval.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, "can-do" attitude
- Highly detail oriented
- Self-driven
- Uses initiative and is always one step ahead
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the interior design industry / familiarity with vendors
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Experience with meeting and managing client expectations and consultant coordination for a range of projects
- Extensive knowledge of high-end to-the-trade furnishings craftsman, artisans and manufacturers
- Schedule and attend client meetings with Principal Designer, record all pertinent information and decisions
- Salary will be commensurate with experience
