Callie Blanks Interiors is looking for a talented, highly organized Project Designer to join our growing team.
CBI is a full-service interior design studio and shop known for creating thoughtful, collected interiors that balance color, character, vintage pieces and modern elements. We’re looking for someone with strong design instincts who is equally excited about the technical details and follow-through required to bring a project to life.
This is not simply a sourcing or design-assistant role. The Project Designer will work closely with our Principal Designer and Creative Director, taking creative direction and developing it into cohesive designs while helping manage projects from concept through installation.
The role is approximately 50% design and 50% project administration, with a significant emphasis on drafting and technical documentation. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in AutoCAD and comfortable producing detailed drawings throughout all phases of a project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Designer will:
•Produce and maintain detailed AutoCAD drawings and drawing sets throughout the design and construction process
•Translate design concepts and creative direction into accurate, buildable drawings
•Develop floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, cabinetry and millwork drawings, lighting plans and other project-specific details
•Coordinate drawings with contractors, trades and vendors and make revisions as projects develop
•Source furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, plumbing, hardware and accessories
•Develop construction and finish selections
•Prepare client presentations, specifications, pricing and proposals
•Maintain organized selections and project documentation
•Track timelines, deadlines, open items and client action items
•Follow up with vendors regarding pricing, samples, lead times and product information
•Assist with site visits, installation planning and punch lists
•Proactively identify upcoming needs, deadlines and issues

• 4–6 years of professional interior design experience
• High proficiency in AutoCAD is required
• Strong drafting and technical drawing skills
• Residential interior design experience
• Strong eye for color, scale, proportion and detail
• Experience with furnishings, finishes and construction selections
• Understanding of residential construction and the design process from concept through installation
• Strong organizational, communication and project-management skills
• Resourceful, collaborative and able to problem-solve independently
• Excited about the CBI aesthetic and approach to design
