We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to support our design team. Key roles and responsibilities will include procurement of furnishings for various projects, updating drawings and other client documentation, inventory control and order tracking, as well as coordinating the execution of project installations. This person will have a passion for design, strong organizational background, and excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate is an adaptable self-starter who can navigate design and project management programs with ease, accept direction from senior team members, manage their workload with little assistance, tolerate interruptions and redirection, and recognize and communicate any unexpected project updates to the team in a timely manner. This candidate must work well independently and as a team, understanding your job is to primarily support in project execution.
This person will create and maintain trusted relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, sub-contractors and sales teams through a professional work ethic, and excellent verbal and written communication. A drive for accuracy, attention to detail, efficiency and understanding of the time sensitive nature of design deliverables is paramount to the success of the candidate and the team.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role within the interior design industry.
• Access to a car for site visits, meetings, and installations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Canva, etc.).
• Familiarity with Design Manager or equivalent design accounting software is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
