Job Description

About Studio Balestra
We are an established gallery and showroom in Los Angeles, specializing in both custom furniture pieces and carefully curated antiques and vintage pieces from around the world.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, fast-learning Production Manager & Project Manager to oversee the creation of our new furniture pieces, the refinishing/adaptation of antiques, and the production pipelines for our ongoing interior design projects.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for taking ideas from concept to reality quickly—generating drawings, coordinating prototyping, and managing rapid production timelines without sacrificing our exacting quality standards. If you thrive on multitasking, rapid problem-solving, and keeping meticulous digital records in a high-speed environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Network Expansion: Actively utilize and expand your existing network of local artisans, workshops, and fabricators to improve lead times, capabilities, and production quality.

Fast-Paced Production Coordination: Manage production schedules with tight turnarounds; we do not operate on long lead times. Coordinate with vendors and workshops to ensure on-time delivery.

Design & Prototyping: Collaborating closely with Adriano to develop new designs and ideas quickly. Source material samples, generate technical drawings, and manage the prototyping process from start to finish.

Project Management: Oversee production timelines for ongoing interior design projects, ensuring all custom elements align with project milestones.

Data & Workflow Organization: Maintain absolute organization of all project statuses, vendor communications, and lead times using our Airtable platform and other internal systems.

Job Requirements

Quality Control: Inspect all pieces (both new builds and vintage restoration) to ensure they meet high-end luxury standards.

Dynamic Support: Act as a true team player, stepping in to help with a variety of tasks as needed to keep the studio running smoothly.

Qualifications
Industry Network (Required): Must have an established, robust network of high-end fabricators, workrooms, upholstery shops, and artisans, specifically within the Los Angeles area, to immediately expand our production capabilities.

Experience: Proven production experience working with high-end, luxury furniture brands.

Versatility: Significant experience covering both new custom furniture builds and the refinishing/restoration of vintage pieces.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in generating technical drawings (CAD, hand-drawn, etc.). Experience generating 3D renderings is highly ideal.

Project Management: Strong background in project management, specifically handling the moving parts of interior design projects or custom fabrication pipelines.

Tech Savvy: Must learn new digital tools quickly and have experience with (or a strong aptitude for) Airtable and digital project management workflows.

Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in upholstery, carpentry, and finishing details, with a sharp eye for luxury quality.

Attributes: Exceptional multitasking abilities, highly organized, adaptable to daily changes, and a fast learner.

Logistics: Based in Los Angeles, working in-office full-time. Reliable car required for local vendor visits.

Preferred (Plus) Qualifications
Spanish language skills (highly preferred for vendor communication).
