Job Description

Are you passionate about interior design and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-end residential design studio? Arditi Design, a boutique NYC-based interior design firm, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Design Intern to assist with a variety of design and operational tasks.

This position is ideal for a creative individual who thrives on collaboration, enjoys being hands-on, and is ready to contribute to multiple aspects of the design process.

Role Overview
The Design Intern will assist the Principal Designer and team in supporting day-to-day design and operational needs, including errands, research, sourcing, and organization. This role requires a proactive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to handle varied responsibilities that are integral to the studio's success.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Assist in creating and updating digital design presentations, mood boards, and material boards.
Support the sourcing of finishes, fabrics, furniture, and accessories aligned with project direction.
Conduct research on new products, vendors, and design solutions to enhance project outcomes.
Maintain the material library, ensuring samples are organized, labeled, and returned promptly.
Contribute creative input during brainstorming sessions for client projects.
Project Support:
Join site visits, installations, and vendor meetings to assist with tasks and document observations.
Help track project details, including pricing, lead times, and sample orders.
Assist in preparing and organizing materials for client presentations and updates.
Administrative & Operational Tasks:
Run errands, such as picking up or returning samples and coordinating messenger services.
Keep digital tools like Trello, project schedules, and Pinterest boards organized and updated.
Provide hands-on support with studio organization, photoshoot preparation, and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A collaborative and proactive mindset with excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with NYC design resources and showrooms is a plus but not required.
Details
Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate school schedules or other commitments.
Location: A mix of remote work and in-person tasks, including meetings, site visits, and errands within NYC.
