As an Outside Trade Sales Representative, you will:
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key trade accounts, including designers, architects, builders, and landscapers.
· Present and promote premium outdoor living products—such as high-end furniture, grills, outdoor kitchens and fire features.
· Conduct on-site visits and consultations to understand client needs and provide tailored project solutions.
· Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry seminars to increase visibility and build your professional network.
· Maintain deep product knowledge to clearly communicate features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
· Own your client relationships through consistent follow-up, personalized service, and proactive support.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities while effectively managing a growing sales pipeline.
· Contribute to regional sales strategy and expansion efforts through direct outreach and business development.
· Experience in design, furniture, luxury retail, or related trade/luxury product categories.
· Proven success in outside sales, preferably working with trade professionals in the furniture or outdoor living industry.
· Strong territory management and business development abilities.
· Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals in a relationship-driven environment.
· Proficiency in lead-generation methods such as networking, cold outreach, and prospecting.
· Ability to gather market insights and provide feedback to support ongoing product and business development.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on building rapport and long-term relationships.
· Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
