Roset USA is looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager to own the West Coast territory. This is a business developer role, not a maintenance role. You will carry a revenue target, grow the existing dealer base, open new points of sale, and develop the contract and design trade business in one of the strongest design markets in the Americas.
On the West Coast, you will work with established specifier and dealer relationships in a mature market. The right candidate needs to be comfortable managing existing partnerships while also developing new business, building relationships, and driving sales. Success in this role is as much about building strong, long-term partnerships as it is about closing the order.
You will work independently and manage your own calendar and pipeline, while coordinating closely with customer service, logistics, marketing and the corporate retail team, while respecting the brand guidelines. The position reports directly to the Executive Vice President.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience, with at least 3 years managing a multi-state or multi-country territory and carrying a revenue target.
• Experience in high-end furniture, interiors, or a comparable premium design-led category, selling through dealers, distributors or specifiers.
• Demonstrated record of opening new accounts, not only servicing inherited ones.
• Working knowledge of export and international sales practice: pricing, Incoterms, payment terms and freight.
• Comfortable reading and discussing margin, discount structure and dealer profitability.
• Strong written and verbal communication. Able to present the brand credibly to architects, designers and retail principals.
• Proficient in MS Office. Comfortable working from data.
• Able to travel extensively within the territory, including international travel. Valid passport and driver’s license required.
• Genuine interest in contemporary design, architecture and the design community.
