Job Description

The Junior Designer is a creative and detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting high-end residential interior design projects from concept through installation. Working closely with the Principal, design leadership, procurement team, and operational leadership, this role combines design execution and technical support with proposal management, sourcing, and hands-on project coordination.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and a collaborative, eager-to-learn approach to a fast-paced environment. This individual will play an important role in supporting project momentum and maintaining the EBI standard across all aspects of a growing firm.

Job Requirements

Project Responsibilities:
- Support residential projects from concept development through installation under the creative direction of the Principal and design team.
- Develop and execute floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Research, select, and source fabrics, furniture, lighting, wallcoverings, and finishes that align with the project's creative direction.
- Manage the pricing and proposal process from sourcing to client approval, including vendor quotes and specification entry.
- Create polished presentation decks, digital mood boards, and material trays for client meetings.
- Attend site visits and client presentations alongside Senior Designers to verify field measurements and document project progress.
- Play an active, hands-on role during installation days and styling shoots, assisting with unpacking, placement, and ensuring spaces are styled perfectly.

Design & Technical Skills:
- Strong foundational understanding of high-end residential interior design, custom furnishings, and high-end materials.
- Ability to support projects through multiple phases including concept, drafting, sourcing, and installation styling.
- Comfortable communicating professionally and effectively with vendors, showrooms, and trades.
- Knowledge of interior drafting standards, space planning, and technical detailing.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for interior drafting and space planning.
- Experience with Studio Designer and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop) preferred.
- Excellent organizational, written communication, and graphic presentation skills.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture desired.
- 2–3+ years of professional interior design experience (high-end residential experience or relevant internships preferred).
