Manor + Woods is a Westchester-based, full-service residential interior design studio specializing in elevated, family-friendly homes. Our work spans large-scale renovations and full-home furnishings, with a strong emphasis on thoughtful design, process, and client experience.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Junior Designer / Project Manager to support the design studio across multiple residential projects from concept through installation. This role is ideal for someone with strong design sensibility and excellent project management skills who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. The candidate must live in the Westchester NY/Fairfield CT area and have their own mode of transportation.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining timelines, budgets, and install schedules
Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, vendors, and workrooms
Spearhead procurement and track orders, deliveries, lead times
Prepare install schedules, checklists, and oversee installation logistics
Assist in sourcing all design needs for projects
Create mood boards and develop concept presentations for clients
Support design presentations, material selections, and sample management
Maintain budget spreadsheets and product trackers
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to ensure a seamless experience
Qualifications
5+ years of interior design experience or related field preferred
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel/Sheets
Preferred experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Houzz Pro
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
Calm, solutions-oriented approach
Based in or near Westchester County, NY (most work is mostly remote; weekly site visits and meetings are in Westchester and Fairfield Counties)
