NYC high end interior design firm seeks an Interior designer with a minimum of two years experience:
• Assist in developing and defining a design vision for a project with the Principal/Design Director/Senior Designer.
• Assist with all aspects of the design process from development to installation.
• Assist in preparation for client presentations (i.e. create digital presentations using InDesign, design binders, boards, etc.)
• Assist in developing a schedule for each project, including creating a timeline from design development through installation along w/design team.
• Create & revise ACAD drawings.
• Assist in monitoring & managing project budgets.
• Using Design Manager, create proposals, purchase orders.
• Track and follow up with vendors on Client Orders.
• Assist with the supervision of furniture installations.
• Maintain, organize & update design library & sample room, retrieve/return samples, etc.
• Help maintain a clean work space and general office organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with Principal and other designers/office staff.
• Ability to self-motivate and be disciplined to keep projects moving smoothly and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings & specifications.
• Ability to take direction well.
• Ability to multitask.
• High level of creativity & design skill set
• Excellent ACAD and InDesign skills.
• Ability to use Designer Manager a plus.
• Minimum of two years experience
