Stewart Design Inc is looking for a Junior Designer with previous experience working in the design field. We have a fast paced and busy office handling several new build projects, full renovations, and full home furniture projects. We need someone who is quick to learn, and follows through on tasks, a self starter. The position is flexible: some remote work, meetings on job sites and showrooms with clients and in office time. This is an office that allows designers to freely share their unique visions with the principal / team and develop and learn on the job. A positive, happy attitude is key.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with our design team to assist in creating captivating interior concepts
and presentations.
● Conduct material and furniture research, providing valuable insights for our projects.
● Utilize design software, including AutoCAD and Photoshop, to create detailed
drawings and renderings is a bonus.
● Support on-site visits to assist with weekly action items for the projects and gain design inspiration.
● Work closely with the team to manage project schedules and ensure timely
completion.
● Source, present and track materials and furniture purchases.
Requirements:
● Previous experience or education in interior design
● Experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and other design software is advantageous.
● Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible work environment, including remote work and
on-the-go tasks.
● Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
● A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning and growing in the field of
design.
● Passion for creativity and a willingness to contribute ideas to the team.
●Flexible on wearing many hats and have fun doing so.
