Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a designer with (3-6 years) of professional experience who is passionate about creating thoughtful, beautifully detailed interiors and is eager to take ownership of key tasks while collaborating closely with other designers on the project, project manager, Director & owner.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and the ability to balance creativity with organization throughout all phases of the design process. Key responsibilities include:
Design Development:
Assist in the development of design concepts from initial programming through final installation.
Prepare furniture plans, elevations, 3D renderings and design presentations.
Develop room schemes, material palettes, and FF&E selections.
Source furniture, lighting, textiles, finishes, accessories, and artwork.
Research products, materials, and artisans to support the design vision.
Technical Documentation:
Produce and maintain accurate drawing sets in AutoCAD & 3D Drawings.
Prepare detailed furniture plans, elevations, custom millwork drawings, and specifications.
Assist with construction documentation and drawing coordination.
Review drawings for accuracy and consistency.
FF&E:
Create and maintain FF&E schedules and specifications alongside FF&E manager.
Coordinate pricing, samples, and vendor information.
Assist with custom furniture development and material selections.
Organize presentation materials and finish libraries.
Project Coordination:
Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, fabricators, and vendors.
Attend project meetings & zooms and assist with meeting notes and follow-up items.
Track design decisions and ensure project documentation remains current.
Support procurement and production activities as needed.
Attend/ oversee site visits on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
3–6 years of professional interior design experience.
Experience working on high-end residential or luxury hospitality projects preferred.
Strong understanding of design development, FF&E, and construction documentation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Software Proficiency:
AutoCAD
3D Software
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Microsoft Office
3D modeling and rendering software such as SketchUp with Enscape or V-Ray, or similar visualization platforms (required).
