Innen Studio is seeking an experienced intermediate interior designer to join the studio as a full-time employee working closely with the Principal Designer across all phases of projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative design work and operations, and who feels confident helping move projects forward from concept through installation.
Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience, strong technical and creative skills, and experience working on high-end residential projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Full-time hybrid role based in San Francisco. Competitive salary and benefits offered. A valid California Driver's License and car are required for travel to project sites.
- Work closely with clients, architects, contractors, fabricators, and vendors to support project coordination
- Guide projects through all phases of design including concept, schematic design, design development, and documentation
- Research, source, and specify materials, finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and furnishings
- Design custom furniture, millwork, and tailored interior elements
- Develop visual research, mood boards, and presentation materials for client meetings
- Prepare comprehensive drawing sets, schedules, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Track and manage project budgets, timelines, and procurement processes
- Assist with construction administration, site coordination, and installation oversight
- Minimum 4 years of professional interior design experience
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related design discipline
- Strong design sensibility with exceptional attention to detail and materiality
- Solid understanding of the full design process from concept through final installation
- Strong hand sketching and visual communication abilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Google Workspace
- Clear and confident communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with high-end residential clients and custom projects
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to work both collaboratively and independently
- Down to earth and light hearted team member
