McGrath II is a high-end interior design firm based in New York City with an expanding studio and evolving project portfolio. McGrath II is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join their team. This is a creative role with a focus on FF&E, interior architecture, and a high level of production. This role is an opportunity to work directly with the two principal designers. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of professional studio experience. This role is based at McGrath II’s studio in New York City.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of interior design experience working in an architecture or interior design studio.
- Degree in Interior Design from an accredited architecture or interior design program required. Bachelor or Associate Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the FF&E process including sourcing materials, color palettes, finishes, and furniture.
- Knowledge of D&D Building, local vendors, and industry standards and resources.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Acrobat). Floor plans, elevations, custom furniture, window treatments, and detailed drawings are part of the drawing skills that are required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, independent thinker, self starter, excellent written, and oral communication skills required.
- Collaborative nature with an interest in working with other talented design minded creatives and contributing to the overall success of the studio.
Responsibilities:
- Creative input on overall design concept/intent and design schemes
- Select and develop fabric and furniture specifications
- Source and document all finishes and FF&E
- Coordinate and produce presentation materials in all design phases including planning and material/furnishing selection
- Create furniture layouts in AutoCAD
- Prepare floor plans, millwork, furniture plans, elevations, and space planning in AutoCAD. Produce hand drawings and computer renderings that communicate design intent as needed.
- Create client presentations and digital design boards in InDesign
- Produce paint, lighting, hardware, plumbing and tile schedules for architects
- Review and redline all shop drawings to ensure design intent
- Preparation of proposals and purchase orders using Studio Designer software
- Create and monitor project budgets
