Chapin Furniture is looking to grow our Interior Design team. We are located in one of the fastest growing regions of South Carolina, near Lake Murray and Columbia, SC. It's not uncommon for us to be engaged in furnishing and decorating large, custom homes in our area, and we have established ourselves in the market as one of the leading local design and furnishings providers.

We are looking for a seasoned designer, already trained and experienced, to join our team and assist us in designing and selling in our market via retail selling in our 30,000 square foot home furnishings showroom, as well as through design visits with our clients in their homes.

CANDIDATE'S NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Interior Design experience required.
Previous retail experience, preferably in the home furnishings market.
Ability to sell your ideas and the products associated with design projects.
Must enjoy working in fast-paced environment, with ability to help multiple clients simultaneously on busy days.
Excellent relational skills.
Ability to help clients via sketching space plans to scale.
Ability to present coordinated Interior Design plans to clients.
Passion for new trends, color, technology and home furnishings, and the ability to guide clients through the design process for their homes / businesses.
Ability to relate to clients with excitement, integrity, and creativity.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
Completion of training requirements as necessary.
5-day work week. Must be able to work Saturdays and busy retail holidays.
We are closed on Sundays.
