Job Description

Knickerbocker Group is seeking an Interior Designer to assist senior designers with the development of design solutions including architectural concepts for interior projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for working in high-end residential interior design, enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, and has experience using Revit to produce design project documents.

Primary responsibilities include:
Developing design plans and product specifications for assigned projects.
Meeting with vendors to select samples and materials for client approval.
Assisting with the selecting and installation of interior furnishings and window treatments.
Attending client meetings and preparing notes for distribution to design team and clients.
Managing and tracking orders to ensure they arrive in a timely fashion, in consultation with our procurement specialists.
Assisting with the creation of comprehensive decor estimates, invoices, and client proposals for interior furnishings, window treatments, and accessories, in consultation with the senior designers and the procurement specialists.
Meeting with new potential clients and walk-ins.

provides excellent customer service at all times.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Interior Design or Architecture
3 or more years of experience in residential interior design
Knowledge and understanding of construction management
Technical proficiency requirements:
Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
Adobe Photoshop
Revit
AutoCAD
Experience with Design Manager preferred
