We are looking for a talented, experienced Senior Designer to join the Meredith Ellis Design studio as a full-time member of our team. This is a meaningful role for a designer within a studio whose aesthetic standard and industry reputation are well established.
You will work directly under Meredith’s creative direction, leading a portfolio of residential projects ranging from full-scale remodels and ground-up construction to refined decorating and installation work.
*Responsible for seeing multiple projects through from inception to completion.
*Develop space plans/schematic designs
*Source new products, materials and ideas for client presentations
*Create and manage decorative budgets
*Oversee selections and specifications of FF&E
*Assist principal designer on site meetings, presentations, and installations with architect, contractor and clients
*Draft construction documents and specifications that can be used for communicating with contractors, and subcontractors
*Prepare in Auto CAD or Sketch-up floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design drawings, furniture layouts
*Possess Architectural and construction proficiency in order to create timely schedules and feed back on drawings
*Manage construction process and contractor/subcontractors to ensure that project deadlines are being met
*Oversee/Assist in creation of proposals and purchase orders
*Create invoices statements for clients and generate client summaries of completed work
*Coordinate and oversee installations and deliveries
Requirements :
*Must be Proficient in AutoCAD / Sketch-up/ Studio Designer
*Minimum 5-10 Years experience in high-end residential design firm
*Self - Motivated, Flexible, and detail oriented
*Extensive knowledge of furniture, fabrics, finishes, and materials
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Professional work ethic
