Job Description

Eli Dweck Designs is a residential interior design firm based in Brooklyn. We work on high-end residential projects in New York and elsewhere, with projects ranging from apartments and townhouses to larger homes. We are looking for an interior designer to join our Brooklyn studio. We are open to candidates ranging from strong early-career designers to senior designers. Title, compensation, and level of responsibility will be determined by experience and demonstrated ability.

The work
The designer will work closely with the principal and the rest of the team on projects from design through installation. The level of responsibility will depend on experience.
The work includes:
• Space planning, design development and presentations
• Sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, artwork/accessories, custom furniture, and design details
• AutoCAD drawings and project documentation
• Working with architects, contractors, fabricators, vendors and workrooms
• Client presentations and communication
• Site visits, installation and project follow-up
• Purchasing, order tracking and other project coordination

About the role
This is a hands-on position in a small studio. You will work closely with the principal and be involved in many parts of the design process, from early concepts through installation. The right person will take responsibility for their work, stay organized and follow projects through.

Compensation & Location
Compensation Range: Junior/Early Career: $60,000-$80,000, Senior: $90,000-$115,000
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-time, in-office

Job Requirements

You should have:
• At least 1 year of experience working in a professional interior design or architecture firm. More experienced candidates are welcome.
• Experience with high-end residential projects preferred
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Good knowledge of furniture, fabrics, lighting and finishes
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage several projects and priorities at once
• Good communication skills and a willingness to be involved in both design and the day-to-day work of a project
• Experience with Studio Designer is a plus.
