JOB SUMMARY
The Interior Architect leads all phases of construction documentation and construction administration balancing project administration with a high-level of production. This role requires day-to-day production, project management, and organization of their projects and will provide support to the Principal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that strategic project production aligns with design intent and delivers outcomes that meet project schedules and expectations
- Formulate preliminary space plans and 2D & 3D design concept studies and sketches that integrate the design intent and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and interior architecture
- Prepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications, power and communications locations; reflected ceiling and plans; materials and finishes; and furniture layouts
- Confirm that preliminary space plans and design concepts are meet design intent, standards appropriate, and building codes
- Review and redline shop drawings and vendor coordination
- Ability to field measure and document existing building conditions
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, millworkers, and vendors
- Communicate and contribute analytical feedback for production as needed to meet project goals
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the design team on multiple projects

- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Interior Design or Architecture
- Ability to create a set of construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Ability to work on multiple projects with various design teams simultaneously
- Excellent visual, verbal, and written communications skills
- Experience in leading project teams
REQUIRED SOFTWARE PROFICIENCIES
- AutoCAD
- Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
- Knowledge of SketchUp or any 3D rendering program is a plus
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft Suite
