Job Description

We’re looking for an Experienced Designer to join our team. Key strengths include a passion and talent for conceptualizing and creating beautiful and livable interiors, full accountability and ownership of projects, an acute attention to detail, proactivity and professionalism with clients, resourcefulness and organization. Must have 3-5+ years of residential design experience at a high end firm. Opportunity is for 40+ hours/week working in our office located near the Boston Design Center.  

Job Responsibilities:
- Execution of all stages of the design process including programming, space planning, schematic design, presentation, pricing and proposal development, and installation
- Creation of floor plans and elevations, fabric and material schemes, and furniture and lighting selections 
- Management of 4+ projects
- Responsive and professional communication with clients via email, phone calls and during client presentations and site meetings
- Collaboration with architects, contractors, subcontractors and vendors 
- Review of construction documents, shop drawings and reflected ceiling plans
- Vendor communication to initiate design details and pricing of custom upholstery, furniture, finishes, and accessories  
- Oversee project installations locally and long distance 
- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Willingness and work ethic to initiate tasks and perform duties with little supervision and flexibility to help with whatever is needed 
- Time management and multitasking in a fast paced environment 

Job Requirements

- 3-5+ years related work experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher level of education 
- Proficiency in Studio Designer, Microsoft Office 
- Ability to hand render floor plans and elevations (bonus for working knowledge of AutoCAD) 
- Valid driver's license and car (office parking available)
