Job Description

Zodax and One Hundred 80 Degrees are seeking a highly creative, hands-on Director of Visual Merchandising & Interior Design to lead the visual direction of two established home and lifestyle brands. Based full-time at our Panorama City, California headquarters, this role reports directly to the Founder and combines wholesale showroom merchandising, interior design, photography styling, product development, and creative leadership.

A major focus of the position is the design, merchandising, and ongoing presentation of our permanent wholesale showrooms in Atlanta, High Point, Dallas, and Las Vegas. These are large, product-intensive B2B environments where retail buyers shop extensive assortments across home decor, tabletop, glassware, candles and fragrance, seasonal decor, gifts, and accessories. The Director will create floor plans, traffic flow, product placement, room settings, collection stories, and market presentations that are visually elevated, practical, flexible, and sales-focused.

The Director will also develop or direct fixtures, shelving, cabinetry, display systems, walls, platforms, lighting, and other presentation elements; select finishes, flooring, furnishings, rugs, artwork, and accessories; and coordinate architects, contractors, fabricators, installers, and vendors from concept through installation.

Photography and styling are also central to the role. The Director will lead product and lifestyle styling for catalogs, websites, advertising, social media, and video, developing room settings, shot concepts, prop plans, and product stories in partnership with photographers and the marketing and catalog teams.

The position also participates in product development and collection building, providing direction on color, materials, finishes, proportion, scale, styling, and presentation. The Director will review samples and help create cohesive, commercially compelling collections.

This is a highly hands-on position. The Director will personally partic

Job Requirements

We are looking for an experienced creative leader with a sophisticated design eye, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to move comfortably between big-picture creative direction and hands-on execution. Wholesale B2B showroom experience is especially valuable because permanent wholesale showrooms require a different approach from traditional retail, including buyer navigation, collection storytelling, product density, flexibility, and sales effectiveness.

8-10+ years of experience in interior design, visual merchandising, showroom design, creative direction, or a closely related field.

Strong experience in home decor, furniture, tabletop, lighting, gift, fragrance, seasonal, fashion, hospitality, or luxury lifestyle categories.

Wholesale B2B showroom experience strongly preferred. Candidates should understand how to merchandise large assortments for retail buyers, not simply create traditional consumer retail displays.

Exceptional eye for color, proportion, scale, composition, lighting, materials, product grouping, and spatial relationships.

Proven ability to create floor plans, traffic flow, room settings, product stories, fixture concepts, and visually compelling high-density merchandise presentations.

Hands-on approach to merchandising and installation. This role requires someone who enjoys physically styling shelves, tables, rooms, product walls, and displays alongside the team.

Experience styling or art-directing lifestyle and product photography for catalogs, websites, advertising, social media, or similar channels.

Experience working with architects, contractors, fabricators, installers, vendors, photographers, and creative teams.

Ability to manage multiple showroom locations, installations, crews, schedules, freight, budgets, and deadlines simultaneously.

Product development experience and the ability to provide direction on color, materials, finishes, scale, and collection cohesion are highly desirable.
