Job Description

Dana Bass Designs is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Designer to join our team! This is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly creative environment, and has a strong sense of communication, client customer service, attention to detail, organization, follow through and urgency to keep things moving. DBD offers services in both construction, new build and remodel along with furnishings and outdoor living.

Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Principal, Design and Procurement teams to execute project workflows from start to completion.
- Coordinates with vendors, sub-contractors & clients to develop innovative interior design concepts for luxury residential projects.
- Prepare and present interior design schemes from concept through to completion, ensuring designs are aligned with project goals, budgets & client expectations
- Produce detailed drawings, floor plans and perspectives and renderings from on-site field measures
- Produce specifications, and documentation to communicate design intent and support the construction process. Support with creating budgets and detailed presentations.
- Order samples, source materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet project requirements.
- On-site visits with clients, contractors and vendors to oversee the execution of construction and remodel projects.
- Working with trades and workrooms closely to ensure all orders are executed per the senior staff and principals specifications.
- Work with the Principal and team to establish timelines and schedules for every part of the Project.
- Coordinating paint/finish, lighting, drapery, and various other schedules.
- Attending client meetings, field measures, installs, photoshoots etc as required by Principal
- Support with on ground logistics and be willing to take the lead.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation and ability to communicate on all levels.

Job Requirements

ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate should be a multi-dimensional thinker, capable of providing strategic oversight of all client projects. This hire must possess a fundamental knowledge of both product and design, understand the process of proposing and ordering for an interior design firm, and show an ability to communicate well with our sophisticated clientele and the various trades we work with.

- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture and/or Architecture.
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the Interior Design industry in executing and managing all aspects of high-end residential interior design projects.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Houzz Pro (preferable, not essential) and be comfortable with a wide range of office tasks and technology.
- Past project experience working on construction projects and seeing them to completion.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and delegate to colleagues clearly and efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a heavy workload, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and comfortable working between more than one project.
- Hyper attention to detail and organization to ensure projects are on track and finished per the deadlines.
- Possessing extensive knowledge of ID principles & practices, including FFE, furniture systems and specifications.
- Strong design portfolio showcasing creative thinking, attention to detail.
