Job Description

This position involves a combination of creative and administrative tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in sourcing furniture, fabric, lighting, wall and floor coverings, accessories, finishes and fixtures
Assisting with client presentations
Maintaining sample and prop libraries
Vendor coordination and correspondence
Assisting with contractor management and site visits
Assisting with procurement, creating proposals, purchase orders and invoices
Assisting with deliveries & installations
Assisting with styling and photoshoots
General administrative tasks for the office

Job Requirements

Detail oriented, extremely organized and ability to multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional manner
Self motivated and passionate about design
A strong work ethic and a sense of humor
Willingness to admit mistakes and find solutions
A team player and desire to meaningfully contribute to the firm
Bachelor’s Degree; Interior Design Degree not required but must have an eye for design and the ability to take a well composed iPhone photo
At least one year of experience working for an interior design firm preferred
Some knowledge of industry resources (fabric and furniture companies, etc.)
Knowledge of antiques and vintage furniture and textiles is a plus
Proficiency in AutoCad, Photoshop and/or Studio Webware is a plus
Driver’s license and ability to travel
Flexible hours but must be able to work in the Ridgewood NJ studio at least a couple of times a week
