A highly coveted luxury interior design firm in Naples, Florida, is seeking a Design Assistant with experience in architectural detailing, high-end residential new builds, large-scale renovations, and bespoke furnishings. The Design Assistant supports the Senior Interior Designer in all aspects of the design process, ensuring every detail meets the highest level of sophistication. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full time experience in luxury design and possesses a strong balance of design aptitude and technical knowledge.
This role will assist in the development of bespoke architectural details, intricate cabinetry, millwork, tile layouts, and custom luxury furnishings. You will assist in the creation of polished & professional presentations, and comprehensive project documentation to ensure clarity and precision. This role will obtain detailed quotes and pricing from vendors in order to prepare custom furnishings proposals for our clients. The Design Assistant works with the company’s support team members to coordinate and assist with installations. Successful communication and documentation is achieved by the effective use of software such as Slack, Google Workspace, Studio Designer, Outlook, and Adobe Pro.
This is a full time position in-office with 10-20% travel required, including some weekends. There will be a six month probationary period. Pay commensurate with experience.
- 3+ years of full time high-end residential interior design experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design highly preferred
- Innately elevated taste
- Ability to simultaneously assist on multiple projects from concept to completion, setting priorities to meet deadlines
- Confidently and comfortably interact with high end clientele
- Possess effective organizational skills
- Must be a problem solver
- Excellence in following through
- Must be tech savvy; experience using Studio Designer a plus
- Uphold brand image
- Stay up-to-date on current market trends and participate in local networking events
- Possess valid driver's license, clean driving record, full auto insurance coverage and reliable vehicle; position entails visiting showrooms to obtain samples, dropping off and picking up samples or other materials at client and vendor locations, field measuring, and attendance at client meetings
