Your guide to Miami Art and Design Week 2025

Design Miami and Art Basel Miami Beach kick off next week, bringing hundreds of fashion-forward installations and debuts to the Magic City. There’s so much to take in—that’s why we’ve curated a designer’s guide to the crush of great events. From must-see stops at the fairs to can’t-miss activations around town, bookmark this page and get ready to live it up in the 305!

AT THE FAIRS

In the Curios section of the 20th anniversary edition of Design Miami, Superhouse showcases an assortment of highly collectible designs from the 1980s by artists such as Dan Friedman, Elizabeth Browning Jackson, Michele Oka Doner and Wendy Maruyama. (C02)

Salone del Mobile.Milano takes over the Collectors Lounge at Art Basel Miami Beach with a Lissoni & Partners–designed space showcasing the latest furnishings from over 35 leading Italian brands. (Collectors Lounge, Level 2)

In Design Miami’s Curios section, Mexico City–based Sten Studio unveils the Lithic Bloom collection, a series of sculptural stone furnishings inspired by the organic shapes of wildflowers. (C13)

At R & Company’s Design Miami booth, Calico showcases its latest collaboration with ceramist Francesca DiMattio, a hand-illustrated wallcovering inspired by the floral motifs of 18th century Sèvres porcelain pieces. (G27)

At Design Miami, Achille Salvagni Atelier’s “Memories of the Future” installation features a 1951 cabinet born from the first joint effort between Italian design icons Gio Ponti and Piero Fornasetti. (S07)

Alkemis Paint, the official paint partner of Design Miami for the third year in a row, showcases a custom-curated palette of mineral-based wall colors in various spaces throughout the fair, including Michael’s Genuine Cafe and the Design Talks Theater. (X04, X03)

Wexler Gallery returns to Design Miami with works on view by Henry Baumann, Cimone Kind Berman, Marcus Vinicius De Paula, Sofia Karakatsanis, Feyza Kemahlioglu, Nick Missel, Wilén-Jong and more. (G20)

At Design Miami, Technogym celebrates its 40th anniversary with the “Design to Move” display, featuring five special-edition weight benches designed by Patricia Urquiola, Nendo, Walter De Silva, Gustavo Martini and Michele Bönan. (X14)

At the Design Miami 2.0 showcase, Ukrainian designer Victoria Yakusha releases Land of Light II, a series of mythical animal-like objects made from a sustainable mix of clay, flax, wood chips and recycled paper. (S05)

At Design Miami, Kohler will premiere the iridescent Pearlized collection in a dream-like installation designed by Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios. (X08)

Alpi unveils The Lost Cloth Object, a new heritage-driven capsule collection created in collaboration with Stephen Burks Man Made, at Design Miami 2.0. (S05)

Savannah College of Art and Design, the official university partner of Design Miami, presents “Haptic Enchantment,” an exhibition of alumni works exploring the disciplines of fibers, lighting design, furniture design and sculptural installation. (X10)

In the Curios section at Design Miami, Tuleste Factory premieres “Keep It Curious,” including a curation of fantastical works by Pilar Zeta, Marina Abramović and Miranda Makaroff. (C05)

Italian furniture brand Henge is designing the Collectors Lounge at Design Miami, complete with gilded metal walls and violet-veined stone surfaces. (X02)

San Francisco–based studio TF Design debuts the Bronze Orbit collection in the Design Miami 2.0 section. (S05)

Roham Shamekh Studio’s Roots collection will be on full display at Design Miami’s Curios, including a hand-carved white sofa in ceramic and epoxy resins. (C14)

AROUND TOWN

The Future Perfect opens the doors to its first Miami outpost, inside Little Haiti’s historic Villa Paula, where it will showcase works from Bower Studios, Autumn Casey, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, Chris Wolston, and Floris Wubben. (5811 N. Miami Ave.)

Cassina presents a site-specific artwork by Italian artist Pietro Terzini, titled “Are You in Love? No, I’m in Miami,” in a mirrored room installation inside the brand’s Miami Design District store. (3901 NE Second Ave.)

At Alcova Miami, Franck Genser and Tonester Paints unveil “Moonlight, Skylight,” a brutalist exhibition featuring monolithic furnishings by the former alongside atmospheric blue hues by the latter. (Miami River Inn, 437 SW Second St., Suite G-102)

Gantri hosts an Instagram-ready pop-up at The Standard Spa, complete with a vintage photo booth and a selection of the California brand’s sustainably made lights. (40 Island Ave.)

On the rooftop of the Moxy Miami Wynwood hotel, French craft collective Ateliers De France hosts an evening of live demonstrations by artisans featuring Rémy Garnier and Del Boca on Thursday, December 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. (255 NW 25th St.; RSVP required)

At Alcova, SoMad debuts David Aliperti’s “Mother Tree,” a series of intricately handmade sculptures with biomorphic forms. (Miami River Inn, 437 SW Second St.)

B&B Italia offers “The Collection Amplified” an assortment of forward-thinking designs by the Como, Italy–based brand and its fashionable sister company, Maxalto. (4141 NE Second Ave., Suite 115)

Poltrana Frau rolls out its 2025 Five Seasons collection, including the brand's first wardrobe system designed by digital artist Six N. Five. (4100 NE Second Ave., Suite 104)

Miele premieres “The Kitchen Muse,” a collaborative installation by designer Luis Fernandez and Los Angeles visual artist Mikael B, on display December 2 and 3 at outdoor street-art museum Wynwood Walls. (2516 NW Second Ave.)

At Alcova Miami, Italian car company Pininfarina debuts the “Dual” pavilion, a collaborative installation visual artist Patrick Tuttofuoco created out of recycled car tires. (Miami River Inn, 437 SW Second St.)
