With a brand-new floor filled with first-time home exhibitors and an interior design camp put together by designers Lori Dennis and Kelli Ellis, this year's Atlanta International Gift and Home Show, to take place Jan. 6 – 13, will let home furnishings and design take center stage more than ever before.

This year, AmericasMart Atlanta is debuting “Floor 15,” which features a plethora of design showrooms and incorporates nine first-time exhibitors. Participating showrooms include Dash & Albert, Pom Pom, Waylande Gregory, Barbara Cosgrove and Design Legacy.

“We are committed to offering a broad selection of outstanding lines to our buyers,” said Dave Savula, executive vice president for AmericasMart. “Expanding our HOME & DESIGN selection to another floor means there more options available, presented in a high-end, design atmosphere.”

Floor 15, which Savula says is the show's attempt to expand home/design offerings “presented in a high-end atmosphere,” also incorporates workspaces so designers can consult with their clients onsite while sourcing products.

In addition to Floor 15, The HOME & RUG collections continue to grow, with notable lines occupying a significant amount of square footage. Leading the growth is Devgiri Exports in its 12,000-sf showroom on Floor 5 and ELK Group International with 10,000-sf on Floor 6. Related changes include Capel Rugs relocating to Floor 3 and Light Garden opening a new showroom on Floor 6. The Home & Rug area is also home to AmericasMart’s newest bridge, which connects Floor 6 of Building 1 to the Gift  area on Floor 6 of Building 2.

For designers who want to learn a little something in between shopping, the market also offers an extensive line-up of talks and programming, like a presentation on the colors of 2015 by VP of the Pantone Color Institute, Laurie Pressman; a discussion on building your brand with Stylebeat’s Marisa Marcantonio, interior designer Lindsey Coral Harper, Mecox Gardens Mac Hoak and PR maven Elizabeth Blizter; and a presentation by architect and design duo Bobby McAlpine and Susan Ferrier.

In addition, L.A.-based interior designers Dennis and Ellis will host a complimentary two-day camp, held in the Penthouse Theater at AmericasMart, which includes a showroom tour , a networking cocktail party and presentations from the designers themselves.

"Interior Design Camp not only teaches designers how to get to the top in their field but also covers their bases in keeping up with their accreditation,” said Ellis. “Plus, it's a fantastic networking community.”
