Titled Case Studies, the free app features images curated by Wallpaper's architecture, art, design, interiors, lifestyle and fashion teams. A new photograph or video is uploaded every day within the six categories.
“Many of Wallpaper's readers work in the creative industries and this app is going to be an amazing resource for them as well as a visual pleasure. We're delighted to be working with Hermès to deliver such a stunning showcase of the Wallpaper* brand,” said Gord Ray, publishing director of Wallpaper*.
“For us a partnership between the iPad, Wallpaper*, which has always been at the forefront of communicating design, and Hermès, a family house that is founded in tradition but a tradition which was always based on the pursuit of the latest and finest developments in craftsmanship and design, is a perfect marriage,” said Victoria Ewen, creative communications director of Hermès.
Case Studies is Wallpaper's second iPad app and follows hot on the heels of The Directors' Cut, which presents films by both Robert Wilson and David Lynch as part of its October 2010 issue.
The app launches as the title celebrates another digital high, with its number of Twitter followers approaching 300,000.
