Architectural Digest artistic director and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour “wasn’t too pleased” with the newsstand cover for AD’s March celebrity issue, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The newsstand cover pictures Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian in a Martyn Lawrence Bullard–designed interior, while magazine subscribers received a cover featuring Kourtney Kardashian’s office.

Some of the Instagram comments included: “Filth. Professional and personal subscriptions canceled”; and “Why give this family anymore attention??? #unfollow.”

An AD spokesperson told WWD, “Designed by AD100 talent Martyn Lawrence Bullard, both Kardashian projects are unique and worthy of the spotlight in our annual ‘Celebrities at Home’ issue. [AD editor in chief] Margaret Russell chose to do two covers, a celebrity-driven one for newsstand to introduce the magazine to new readers, and another featuring a beautiful interior for our subscribers to enjoy. Longtime readers tell us they display their issues like coffee table books—and Kourtney’s office, with midcentury French furnishings and exquisite art, is a perfect AD cover.”
