The Design Futures Council named six emerging leaders during its 15th annual Leadership Summit on Sustainable Design, held in Seattle last month. The summit unites 100 leaders from architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms, as well as real estate companies, educators and building product manufacturers, to explore sustainable design and its implications.
The honorees include Jonathan Bahe, a senior associate at NBBJ; Neeraj Bhatia, an architect and urban designer; Peter Dahl of HGA Engineers and Architects; project architect Emily Finch; April Hughes, managing principal of HPZS; and Mark Palmer, an associate vice president at CallisonRTKL.
“As a recipient of the DFC Emerging Leader Award, I was invited to share the floor with some of the most creative leaders in the industry,” shares Palmer. “It was a remarkable opportunity to hear their ideas, learn from their experiences, and be given a voice in creating a more sustainable future.”
