A selection of this month’s many auctions at Bonhams, Bruun Rasmussen, Christie’s and Wright present artistic treasures, historical tokens and a priceless array of artwork.

Among an array of auctions at Bonhams this month, “Decorative Arts from 1860” presents gorgeous paintings, such as Vittorio Zecchin's "Primavera (Spring),” with tempera on canvas and applied gold highlights, on June 17 at the Bond Street, London, location, while June 25’s “Fine Maritime Paintings and Decorative Arts” showcases notable pieces ranging from historical treasures like a Suez Canal searchlight and disaster Marconi messages from the Titanic to nautical oil paintings.

Bruun Rasmussen’s 177 lots of furniture and lamps are packed with interior-worthy finds. Debuting on June 11 at 4 p.m., the sale features a Kaare Klint two-seat sofa mounted on a Cuban mahogany frame with stunning patinated Niger leather, a set of eight high-back dining chairs crafted of teak, beech and leather from Helge Vestergaard and the elegant grand piano from Poul Henningsen made of leather, steel and Perspex.

Christies “Interior” auction at the house’s Rockefeller Plaza location will unfold on June 23 to 24, offering portraits including a self-portrait from Robert De Niro Sr. and "Mona Lisa Synthétisée" from Yvaral alongside precious objects including a French painted cast-iron figure of Mr. Bibendum for the Michelin Tire Co. and vases hailing from China and France. Other gems include a Heriz carpet from northwest Persia and dating from the late 19th century and a 20th century gilt metal and cabochon mounted floor lamp and shade.

Starting June 12 at noon CST, Wright’s “20th Century Carpets” is the auction house's second auction "dedicated to woven masterpieces" from around the globe. A hundred lots encompass a range of styles, including the Arts and Crafts movement, art deco, Moroccan, and more, with notable offerings including Marianne Richter's hand-knotted wool Fjädern pile and Korsvirke flat-weave carpets, Barbro Nillson's Rabatten pile carpet and a selection of colorful and neutral Moroccan rugs.
