Job Description

Highland House is seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join our team as National Sales Manager. This role will be responsible for managing our team of domestic and international Sales Representatives, cultivating relationships with existing and new customers, and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth. The Sales Manager will report to the President and maintain an office in our Corporate Headquarters in Hickory, North Carolina, and is expected to travel up to 50% domestically. Frequent visits and interaction with our manufacturing teams are a must.

Responsibilities will include:
 Directing and monitoring all sales activities for the company, while adhering to budgets and sales targets.
 Leading, coaching, and managing Territory Sales Representatives; setting clear expectations, and promoting a high-performance culture.
 Actively participating in field sales calls with existing and prospective customers to strengthen relationships and promote long-term sales growth.
 Providing ongoing training and development for Territory Sales Representatives including consultative selling skills, effective business-building methodologies, product knowledge, and the strategic usage of our CRM system.
 Positively impacting a high level of employee drive, passion, and team morale.
 Coordinating promotions with the Executive, Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams.
 Organizing and leading company Sales Meetings
 Working with and supporting the in-house Customer Service team.
 Collaborating with the Merchandising team to provide feedback and ideas for new product introductions and brand collaborations.
 Working with the Marketing team to create sales tools and generate ideas for storytelling and brand romance.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
 5+ years’ experience in the Home Furnishings Industry
 Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related program
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and specifically Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word skills
 Proven experience with Project and Sales Management
 Prior experience and success in developing and leading sales and training presentations
 Demonstrated experience in business information, sales modeling, and forecasting
 Previous experience with strategically developing and administering a CRM system.
