This year, Interior Design magazine and ICFF will debut the first-ever NYCxDESIGN Awards, recognizing design in an array of categories, among them architecture, interiors, products, collectibles, craft and technology. The awards program was announced last week at the NYCxDESIGN kickoff, held at the Museum of Arts and Design.
Cindy Allen, Interior Design editor in chief
“No matter the fair or show, borough of the city, or design discipline, it’s about the community coming together for the very first time in celebration of all things design, and it doesn’t get better than that!” said Cindy Allen, editor in chief of Interior Design.
The event also serves to unify the 500-plus citywide events and programs that make up the annual celebration of global design. Submissions are open to all fairs, exhibitors and design firms until April 13, and winners will be announced at a May 14 reception at the Museum of Modern Art. Learn more.

Returning exhibitors include BKLYN DESIGNS, Collective Design, Cooper Hewitt, Design Trust for Public Space, Fashion Institute of Technology, Frieze Art Fair, Museum of Arts and Design, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, Sight Unseen OFFSITE and WantedDesign (Brooklyn and Manhattan).
