At its resplendent showroom in New York’s D&D Building, John Rosselli & Associates represents a breathtaking range of brands offering luxury furniture, fabric, lighting and wallcoverings. But the family business, which dates to the 1960s, doesn’t play favorites among its many vendors—a blockbuster roster that includes Iatesta Studio, O. Henry House, Fermoie, Peter Fasano, McLain Wiesand, Schuyler Samperton and Kathryn M. Ireland, to list just a few. Rather, the showroom team values each line individually. “They know how to serve their clientele and their vendors so seamlessly,” says Elizabeth Lawrence, partner at design firm Williams Lawrence. “[Their] focus is on guiding you to who can help you the best.” She’s especially impressed with their ability to pair a designer with the perfect partner for a particular piece and fulfill every imaginable customization request.
“Designers by definition want to create something,” says Jonathan Gargiulo, managing director of John Rosselli & Associates—and nephew of its namesake founder. “They’ll come in here and see something and say, ‘Well, I like that, but I don’t like the finish,’ or ‘It’s a rectangle. Can you do it as an oval?’ We can do all of that.”
“Whether it be furniture or fabric, [we will] satisfy whatever your needs are because we provide that variety,” says showroom manager Shelley Selip. “It’s why we’re such a destination.” From paisleys to block prints, chinoiserie to chintz, crystal to porcelain, see the exceptional selections for yourself with this exclusive look inside the legendary resource that is John Rosselli New York.
