Brunschwig & Fils is launching L’Atelier Moderne, its latest collection and one that culls inspiration from periods including midcentury modern, art deco and the Renaissance. The brand’s creative director, Stephen Elrod, worked with the design studio team to conceive, design and develop all of the fabrics and trimmings for the collection.
“The inspiration for the collection was really twofold,” Elrod explains to EAL. “First and foremost, we felt a need for products that reflected the more modern attitude in the current trends in interior design. Secondly, there has always been a luxurious and glamorous element to design at Brunschwig & Fils that captures its unique European heritage. The historical references for the collection are an eclectic and sophisticated mix, ranging from designs mined from the Italian Renaissance to French art deco.”
