Earlier this month, AKDO’s flagship showroom in New York opened its doors for an opening fete themed “An Evening in Istanbul,” celebrating the tile brand’s Turkish roots with an inspired tablescape designed by Michael Tavano. The celebration, hosted by AKDO and Hearst Design Group, welcomed an A-list roster of guests, including AKDO’s Hakki Akbulak, Dan Martel and Diane Hayden, as well as a number of notable designers and other industry pros, among them Robin Baron, Elizabeth Bauer, Eileen Kathryn Boyd, Thomas Burak, Antonino Buzzetta, Suzanne Costa, Ernest de la Torre, Katie Eastridge, Georgie Hambright, Lindsey Coral Harper and Young Huh.
