The New York Design Center hosted the eighth annual What’s New, What’s Next on September 22. This year’s event drew record numbers for designer conversations, panels and presentations, with over 80 participating showrooms. Mark D. Sikes, Allegra Hicks, Barclay Butera, Jay Jeffers, Windsor Smith and Sasha Bikoff were just a few of the designers who participated in the event celebrating the “new” and “next” things in design. Editors from publications such as Traditional Home and Veranda were also on hand discussing the latest trends.
“This year’s What’s New, What’s Next was the most successful and comprehensive to date,” says Jim Druckman, president and CEO of NYDC. “The 47 alluring programs had a record-breaking 7,500-plus guests buzzing with excitement, bringing together the industry’s most notable names. 2016 marks an anniversary year for 200 Lex, celebrating ‘90 Years at the Center of Design.’ We are the oldest yet most progressive building of our kind and remain committed to providing inventive and professional programs that enhance the business of design.”
