The Showroom Manager drives sales growth while overseeing the showroom’s team, operations, customer experience, and financial performance. This role maintains an active presence on the sales floor, develops relationships with designers, clients, and key accounts, and supports Sales Associates with high-value opportunities.
Responsibilities include coaching and evaluating staff, reviewing sales activity and pipelines, managing expenses and inventory, overseeing merchandising and showroom presentation, coordinating shipments and repairs, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. The manager also partners with Marketing on events and represents Baker Interiors Group within the local design community.
Previous management experience and a four-year college degree, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience, are required. Experience in luxury furniture, interior design, home furnishings, or high-end retail is strongly preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate success in sales leadership, team development, financial oversight, customer relationship management, and showroom operations. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer-service skills are essential. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale or business-management systems is required. Oracle experience is strongly preferred.
