We are seeking an exceptional Senior Interior Designer to lead design execution, manage complex historic projects, and champion quality across our studio. In addition to bringing top-tier technical drafting expertise and heritage preservation experience, the ideal candidate will serve as a key team leader—independently directing project workflows, running high-level consultant meetings, and directly mentoring and managing junior and intermediate team members.
This role requires flawless written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally, as well as extensive, hands-on Construction Administration (CA) experience on high-end job sites. Beyond technical excellence, we are looking for a collaborative leader who actively contributes to a positive, supportive office culture and excels at cultivating trust-based, long-term relationships with all project stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in reviewing technical deliverables, ensuring rigorous industry and firm standards, and upholding a refined level of design sophistication that aligns with our standards.

Technical & Professional Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in high-end residential or commercial interior architecture, with a proven track record leading CA on complex builds.
Communication & Interpersonal Mastery: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to handle high-stakes conversations with high diplomacy, warmth, and professionalism across all project stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD. Proficiency with project management platforms (e.g., Asite or Procore). Familiarity with Revit is a plus.
Historic Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of historic construction methods, classical detailing, landmark approval processes, and custom joinery.
Education & Credentials: Professional Degree (B.Arch or BFA/BS) in Interior Design or Architecture.
